We have heard that some customers experienced issues when washing their red tie die Jak and Peppar items. To resolve the issues, Jak and Peppar has released updated care instructions for its garnets. Please read Facebook post below and follow instructions carefully to make sure your Jak and Peppar outfits keep their original look.
"To all of our customers who have purchased RED tie dyed items PLEASE READ CAREFULLY for updated care instructions. Please ONLY Hand Wash Cold Separately with Mild Detergent or soap, No Bleach, Line Dry. Bleach can be found in many detergents such a regular Tide, All etc. that do not say it right on the front but it is there in the form of hydrogen peroxide so please be aware of this when choosing what to wash your garment with. These dyes are inherently unstable, especially red and turquoise and they are supposed to be washed on their own by hand using mild soaps. These garments are made with a hand dyed process which could bleed and is part of the characteristics of the style and in no way should be regarded as a defect. If you have already machine washed your garment and are having an issue please do not comment here please contact us directly at [email protected] or [email protected] and we will be sure to get you taken care of. As always we appreciate all of your support and please know we are ALWAYS doing everything we can to make our products better for you♥
Sincerely,
Shannon"
