Some of you might already know that we took a trip to Russia over the holidays. Russia is my home country and we visit pretty regularly since my side of the family is all there. But this was our first time visiting during the winter time - and Jules' and Emma's first time seeing snow.
I was a little bit nervous about how cold it was going to be and whether the kids would enjoy it. But thank goodness for the Frozen movie! The girls are so obsessed with it - and with winter and snow - that they didn't seem to notice the cold at all. Russia around New Year time is truly a winter wonderland. Every major town square has "ice towns" with slides, ice carvings and colorful Christmas lights. The forest is covered with a beautiful white blanket of snow and the air is fresh and crisp.
We had such a great time going down the slides, walking among the frozen trees, making snow angels and sledding. We even got to meet Santa and go to a fancy New Year tea party! But pictures tell better than words, so let me stop right there and just show you.
Thanks for looking!
XOXO!
Tatiana
